Employee & Organizational Development

Employee & Organizational Development is pleased to offer professional development programs for the University of Tennessee
faculty and staff.

Training gives employees the ability to sharpen the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for their jobs and career growth. Classes cover a broad spectrum of subjects designed to meet the needs of every employee and department. Topics include supervisory skills, communication techniques, performance coaching, technical skills, customer service, conflict management, organizational development, and many other areas. Numerous certification programs offer employees ways to study subject areas and achieve competence in depth. Employees and their supervisors work together to develop training plans that support the mutual goals of the employee and department.

Course schedules are available each semester, and classes are offered in traditional classroom format at well as on-site. Departments may request custom-designed training for work groups, in-house consulting services, and organizational development guidance.
